Co-Curricular Recognition Collective

The Co‑Curricular Recognition Collective is an open community of practice for students and staff interested in strengthening recognition, reflection and capability‑building around co‑curricular learning across the tertiary sector. The Collective provides a collaborative space to share insights, explore approaches, and support institutions to elevate student voice within co‑curricular practice.

Purpose

The Collective aims to:

  • Build connections between practitioners, educators and students involved in co‑curricular learnin

  • Share approaches to recognition, reflective learning and capability development

  • Support institutions to embed consistent, equitable recognition frameworks across the sector

Who Can Attend?

The Collective is open to all students and staff from any tertiary institution interested in co‑curricular recognition and leadership development. Membership with SVA is not required.

Why Attend?

  • Connect with peers working on co‑curricular programs and recognition systems

  • Share tools, frameworks and examples of practice

  • Explore sector‑wide challenges and opportunities

  • Nikita Papastamatis, University of Sydney


    CO-CURRICULAR RECOGNITION COLLECTIVE CO-CONVENOR

    Nikita is Senior Co‑curricular Programs Coordinator in the Division of Students at the University of Sydney, working in Student Life since 2020 on program design and engagement initiatives. He led the design and implementation of Sydney Impact, a pilot co‑curricular recognition program. He is passionate about responsive program design and creating positive, developmental experiences beyond the classroom.

    CO-CURRICULAR RECOGNITION COLLECTIVE CO-CONVENOR

    Belinda Christensen is Student Partnerships Coordinator at the University of the Sunshine Coast, leading initiatives that embed student voice into teaching, learning, and strategy. Her work centres on empowering students as co‑creators and fostering meaningful partnerships across the institution. Passionate about equity, she champions inclusive partnership models and supports student‑led innovation and staff development in partnership practices.
